To ensure that your newly purchased bed linen or other garment remains durable and beautiful even after many trips through the washing machine, it is extremely important to follow the care instructions intended for each fabric. And these instructions have not been included on the labels without reason.
In case you have removed the labels or are unsure how to wash a particular item, we have made things a little easier for you.

How to care for Mönna bed linen?

Mönna bed linen is designed to provide your body with softness, calm, and a restful sleep. To keep the fabric beautiful, silky, and pleasantly fresh for a long time, it requires gentle and mindful care.

Natural and high-quality fabrics do not need harsh washing cycles or strong detergents. On the contrary—the more gently you care for your bed linen, the longer it will retain its softness, breathability, and beautiful appearance.

Mönna’s washing recommendations

We recommend washing Moonstar bed linen at 30°C using a delicate cycle and a maximum spin speed of 800 rpm. This helps avoid excessive strain on the fabric, wrinkling, and fiber damage.

As a detergent, we recommend using Mulieres natural laundry gel. It cleans effectively while remaining gentle on the fabric, your skin, and the environment. Mulieres laundry gel is especially suitable for sensitive skin and helps keep your bed linen clean, fresh, and pleasantly soft.

For rinsing, we recommend using Mulieres laundry vinegar. Laundry vinegar helps remove detergent residues, soften the fabric, refresh the laundry, and reduce static electricity. After washing, the bed linen remains naturally fresh—without a strong artificial scent.

Small tips to help your bed linen last longer

Before washing, turn the bed linen inside out and close zippers or buttons. Do not overload the washing machine—bed linen needs space so that water and detergent can distribute evenly.

Avoid bleach, strong stain removers, and regular fabric softeners. These can damage natural fibers and over time reduce the softness, breathability, and lifespan of the fabric.

Dose the detergent according to the instructions on the packaging, the amount of laundry, and the water hardness. For delicate fabrics, mindful dosing often gives better results than using too much detergent.

Whenever possible, dry the bed linen naturally and avoid excessive heat. This helps the fabric better retain its shape, softness, and beautiful drape.

Mönna x Mulieres

Mönna has tested Mulieres laundry gel and laundry vinegar in caring for its bed linen and recommends them for gentle and mindful washing. Mulieres laundry products help keep bed linen clean, fresh, and comfortable against the skin while supporting a more eco-friendly laundry routine.

Important to know

For the best results, always follow the care label of the specific product, Mönna’s care instructions, and Mulieres product dosing recommendations. Washing results also depend on the washing machine program, water hardness, load size, dosing, and following the care instructions for the fabric.

 

Care instructions for the fabrics used in the MÖNNA product range:

Silk:
  • Hand wash in cold water or use the delicate/silk wash programme in the washing machine.
  • Maximum temperature 30°C
  • Use a gentle enzyme-free detergent; ideally, use one specifically designed for silk.
  • Do not use fabric conditioner; to preserve and brighten the colour, use a small amount of laundry vinegar.
  • Use a laundry bag whenever possible
  • Close all zips and other fastenings
  • Dry in the shade. Silk must never be tumble dried.
  • Iron on a low heat
  • Do not bleach
Tencel:
  • Delicate or gentle wash cycle
  • Maximum temperature 30°C
  • Use a gentle enzyme-free detergent; a detergent designed for silk is also suitable
  • Do not use fabric conditioner; to preserve and brighten the colour, use a small amount of laundry vinegar.
  • Close all zips and other fastenings
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Iron on a medium heat
  • Do not bleach
